Watermark Careers in Motion

Careers in Motion is a Christian support group dedicated to helping job seekers during career transitions. Based on Romans 1:12, the program aims to provide mutual encouragement through faith. Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 9 AM, with both in-person and virtual opportunities available at Watermark Community Church in Dallas.

A typical session includes large group teaching, networking opportunities, skills training (including resume help and mock interviews), and small support groups for encouragement. The program helps job seekers through networking, prayer, counseling during the job search, and directing participants to other helpful resources.

EFL Men's Bible Study

Equipped For Life (EFL) is a Christian men's Bible study group focused on helping men grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. The group provides a supportive environment where men can be honest about their struggles without judgment or condemnation.

EFL serves as a "home base" for men seeking purpose, meaning, and deeper connection. Their mission is to spread the Word of Jesus and the love He has for everyone. The group welcomes men at all stages of their faith journey, from those who have known Jesus for years to those who are just beginning to explore their faith.

Weekly Gatherings (hosted at The Vant Group – 17766 Preston Rd., Dallas):

• Fridays | 12:00–1:30 PM (Lunch Study)
• Saturdays | 9:00–11:00 AM (Morning Study)

Saturday sessions are often followed by brunch and connection time with some of the founding members — men who are grounded in business and deeply committed to their walk with Christ.

EFL is more than a Bible study — it's a brotherhood. It's also a growing network of Christian men supporting each other through mentorship, business referrals, and charitable giving.

Southlake Focus Group

Southlake Focus Group is a Christian community dedicated to supporting professionals through career transitions and personal growth. The group provides a faith-centered environment where members can share experiences, network, and receive guidance during challenging periods of professional change.

Through regular meetings and structured discussions, Southlake Focus Group helps participants navigate career decisions while maintaining a strong spiritual foundation. The community emphasizes both practical career development and spiritual growth, recognizing that professional success and faith journey are interconnected.

What to Expect at a Southlake Focus Group Meeting

Weekly meetings include three distinctive segments: Opening Session, Job Search Jumpstart and Networking. Additionally, Special Events offer insightful and relevant presentations for job seekers.

Meeting Highlights:

• Opening Session: Experience H.O.P.E. in action with job opening announcements, contact requests at target companies, landing announcements, and recruiter tips.
• Job Search Jumpstart: First-time guests attend this comprehensive orientation session providing information on getting started and planning your job search.
• Networking: The heart of SFG, networking is consistently the most useful tool to finding your next role. Share leads and ideas with other job seekers and build confidence in communicating your unique skills.
• Featured Speaker: Sessions designed to give job seekers practical, current information to aid in the job search. (Note: No Featured Speaker sessions on the 1st Thursday of each month due to volunteer leader meetings.)

We encourage people to arrive around 7:30 AM to get settled in and begin informal networking.

Job Connection Program

The Job Connection Program empowers historically under-resourced individuals and communities through employment, training, and discipleship. Based at Watermark Community Church's South Dallas campus, this program is dedicated to restoring hope and dignity through meaningful work opportunities.

Through their Work Life curriculum, specifically designed for formerly incarcerated individuals, low-income households, or families experiencing trauma, the program provides comprehensive job-readiness training. The curriculum was created by the Chalmers Center and is taught at Watermark South Dallas through the Watermark CDC.

Frisco Connect

Frisco Connect is a career transition and networking group designed to help people get back into the workforce as soon as possible. The group provides mentoring and support in critical areas of the job search such as interview skills, resume writing, and using social media effectively for professional networking.

Founded by Foster Williams, who brings extensive experience in recruitment and career development, Frisco Connect offers a supportive environment where job seekers can learn, network, and grow professionally while navigating career transitions.

Meeting Information:

Frisco Connect meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 AM. Meetings feature presentations from recruiters and industry professionals on various career development topics.
